We treat bathrooms like practical spaces. In and out. Get clean. Get on with the day. But what if it could be more than that?
What if your bathroom was a space to return to yourself? To unwind, reconnect, soften. Not just functional, but felt.
That’s exactly what I set out to create in this space at one of our projects A bathroom that doesn’t just do the job, it changes the pace. From surface-level to sensory, from standard to sanctuary.
The Materials That Make You Breathe Deeper
Every material in this scheme has one job, to bring you back into your body.
Dekton: Chosen for its soft, organic tone and high performance. It offers quiet texture without pulling focus, natural, grounded, resilient. You feel its presence without ever having to maintain it.
Limewash Walls: These are never about perfection, they’re about movement., depth, tone. The hand-applied finish gives a soft, almost chalky texture that changes with the light and brings soul to the space instantly.
Wood: Warmth, earth and balance. We used subtle wood detailing to counterbalance the stone and give the space a human edge. It’s the part you reach for without thinking and realise it’s what makes the room feel alive.
Statement Pieces That Don’t Need to Shout
This is quiet luxury at its best, elevated pieces chosen not to impress, but to hold space.
Freestanding Stone Bath
This is the anchor of the room, its sculptural, weighty, made to be lingered in. There’s something powerful about a bath that isn’t built in. It becomes the centre of your ritual, You choose to slow down here.
Aged Brass Fixtures
Because shine isn’t the goal, softness is, aged brass brings warmth and a lived-in elegance. It doesn’t demand attention, it earns it quietly and it pairs beautifully with every material in the room.
Sculptural Lighting
The rounded wall light adds just enough structure and glow. It’s a mood-setter, not a spotlight. Exactly what you need when it’s time to step away from the day and into calm.
Texture Over Trend
This bathroom wasn’t designed to look good on Instagram (though it does).
It was designed to feel like a shift.
Everything here is about texture, touch, light, tone. From the soft cotton towels and woven basket, to the ceramic vases that sit quietly in the corner. It’s not about excess, it’s about enough.
That’s where design becomes emotional. When you don’t just see the room, you feel it. And that feeling lingers.
Less Noise. More Intention.
There’s no filler in this space. No fast fashion, no trends for the sake of it. Every choice was made with feeling in mind.
Because in a world that constantly rushes us forward, I want to create spaces that invite you back to yourself.
This bathroom is the pause button. The place you go when your shoulders are tight, your mind’s racing, and you need something solid to land in.
It’s not sterile, it’s not cold, it’s warm, weighty, soft, quiet. Like a breath you didn’t know you were holding.
Ready to Create Your Own Sanctuary?
If your bathroom is more stress than sanctuary, it might be time to rethink how it’s working for you.
Whether it’s a full renovation or a refined rework, I design spaces that do more than look good, they feel right.
Because you deserve more than function. You deserve a space that feels like peace.
